After seeing the 13th Annual UPS United Way Tug-A-Plane in Columbia, SC, I think that pulling your weight has a whole new meaning. This tug-a-war competition on a humongous scale helped raise close to $10,000 for the United Way of the Midlands.
Twenty teams comprised of 20 people pulled a UPS 757 airplane over a 25-foot course. How long does it take 20 people to tug a 127,520 lb. aircraft 25 feet? Best time: 10.39 seconds by the team Just Plane Crazy.

UPS employees, tuggers, local radio personalities and community leaders all joined forces to make the 13th annual Tug-A-Plane a huge success! This makes me proud to live in Columbia, SC where we LIVE UNITED! Thank you UPS for your support in SC and across the nation!
I certainly hope there is a 14th edition. It was a 757′s
weight of fun! I’ll be there next year.
