UPS-sponsored golfer Lee Westwood was recently awarded the highest honor that the European PGA Tour can bestow, the Honorary Life Membership. The world’s top-rated golfer has been a fixture on the European PGA Tour for the past 18 years and is only the second Englishman to attain the world’s top player ranking; Sir Nick Faldo was the other. During the award ceremony, Lee received a silver membership card and money clip from European PGA Tour Chief Executive George O’Grady.
Lee is currently third on the all-time money list for the European Tour behind Colin Montgomerie and Ernie Els. Lee will take this week off as he prepares for the Accenture Match Play Championship and World Golf Championships in Marana, Arizona beginning February 23.
Lee has been an exemplary brand ambassador for UPS, helping to drive UPS’s “We Love Logistics” message during tournament play, at customer hospitality events and at golf clinics Lee conducts at UPS-sponsored golf events around the world. We couldn’t be happier or more proud of Lee’s success and congratulate him on his award from the European Tour.
More than 400,000 UPSers say, “Congratulations Lee!”
