The holidays can be quite expensive—this is no secret. So the question becomes, how do I make some extra money during the holiday season to help cover those gifts? Or maybe, how can I bring in some spending money during that break between college semesters? The short answer: Become a UPS seasonal helper.
To go into more depth on our answer, UPS is expecting some big numbers this holiday season (known as Peak Season around here—better start learning the lingo), so we are looking for big help. How big? How about over a half a billion packages being delivered between Thanksgiving and Christmas. So we’re looking for 55,000 seasonal employees in the US to help ensure on-time delivery of holiday packages. While the vast majority of these jobs are part-time, both day-and night-time positions are available and they can help you get your foot in the door at UPS, as holiday employees have an opportunity to apply for permanent positions after December 31.
Currently, the areas needing the most help are Seattle, Louisville, Oklahoma City, Pittsburgh, Washington, DC, Boston, and various parts of New York and New Jersey. Help is still needed in other areas though, and hiring needs vary by location. Applications can be found at www.upsjobs.com or on the UPS Jobs Facebook page.
But wait, there’s more! Like the UPS Jobs Facebook page and you will be automatically entered to win a $200 Zappo’s gift card being given away each week.
What are you waiting for? Head over to UPS jobs and become a part of the team delivering a hassle-free holiday.
