Recognizing Small Businesses: The UPS Store Celebrates Small Business Week
I love small business

With Small Business Week just around the corner, The UPS Store is gearing up for a busy week to celebrate small business owners. A few highlights of next week’s activities:

  • Changing our look on Facebook—and encouraging you do to the same! Check out facebook.com/theupsstore for a shareable “badge” to proudly let all of your followers know you support small businesses – or are a small business owner yourself!
  • Showing our love for small business across Twitter with the hashtag #IHeartSmallBiz. You can join the conversation and follow the hashtag to see who else is showing their support, and why!
  • Introducing a new marketing assessment tool as part of our new national partnership with SCORE, a nonprofit dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through education and mentorship.
  • Unveiling the full results of a new small business survey via Twitter. Tune in on Monday, June 17 at 11:00 a.m. ET and follow @TheUPSStore to get the full scoop.

As a sneak peek, the small business survey revealed that many people dream of opening a small business long before they take the leap of faith. In fact, almost half of Americans dream of starting their own business and more than one-third of current small business owners spent more five years planning their opening.

We hope you’ll join us in recognizing entrepreneurs this Small Business Week, and perhaps take a moment to pat yourself on the back if you are a small business owner. We hope all small business owners in our communities know we’re part of their neighborhood and we’re here to help make your dreams a reality.
