Eliminate the Hassle of Back-to-School Shopping with School Tool Box
school supplies

Back-to-school signage line the halls and walls of retail stores, reminding children that summer is almost over and parents that they need to fill the supply lists provided by their kids’ schools. Finding everything can be a hassle – long lines, multiple shopping trips, hard-to-find products, etc.

UPS Small Business customer School Tool Box offers a convenient, consistent, cost-saving alternative that provides parents with the supplies they need without the aggravations. For more than 10 years, School Tool Box has been delivering pre-packaged school supply kits built from teachers’ lists directly to their respective schools. In 2011, the company kicked off its “Ship-to-Home” program, making it even easier for families to get the supplies they need by delivering it right to their front doors.

Good Hart General Store Serves up a Delicious Deal for National Pi Day
Pi Pie

Today (3.14) is National Pi Day! It’s a day to celebrate and discuss the mathematical constant and for many (especially my husband) to make lots of food-related puns.

Some may love math, but I love pie. Sweet or savory, I eat them all.  Devouring a homemade chicken pot pie for dinner might be my definition of comfort food. UPS small business customer Good Hart General Store knows all about delivering quality pot pies.

Small Business Profile: Two Ways SimplySoles Keeps Customers Happy
Kassie Rempel

While I hate to perpetuate a female stereotype, I have to admit it – I adore shoes. From knee-high boots to super high heels to strappy sandals, my closet is a labyrinth of footwear. Still, I might add a pair or two to my wish list this year!

UPS small business customer SimplySoles has been helping people like me find great shoes since 2004. That September, founder Kassie Rempel distributed her first catalog, filling the pages with a carefully selected collection of designer shoes. Her business has now grown to include a robust website with many exclusive styles, fashionable accessories and her own line of shoes, Lillybee.

Small Business Rekluse Motor Sports Gives Racers a Competitive Edge
Rekluse

When 7-year-old Al Youngwerth first saw the motorcycle documentary On Any Sunday, he didn’t know he would eventually start an award-winning international motorcycle parts company.  He was just a kid who knew he wanted a dirt bike. He got one when he was eight, and he’s been riding ever since.

Dissatisfied with motorcycle clutches, Youngwerth decided to make a better one back in 2002. It was the beginning of his Boise-based small business Rekluse Motor Sports. Through Boise State University’s Tech Help program, he developed a prototype that redesigned how an automatic clutch operates. Posting on motorcycle forums such as ThumperTalk.com, Youngwerth shared pictures and information, gathering feedback from fellow motorcyclists. Before manufacturing had even begun, Youngwerth presold 50 auto-clutches online.

Saying I Do to UPS My Choice Rings a Bell with Brides
MyChoiceBridal

“What is UPS doing at a bridal show?” I heard that question a dozen times recently during the Georgia Bridal Show. Naturally everyone was curious. It doesn’t seem like the most intuitive relationship – but speaking as a bride (with three months to go!) and a UPSer, nothing requires logistics more than planning a wedding.

Within fifteen minutes of the doors opening, the UPS booth was overwhelmed with brides, grooms and their friends wanting to learn more about our new service UPS My Choice®.

Girls’ Night Out: Philadelphia
GLO

This year, I am going to seven weddings. SEVEN. And that’s not even including my own. Because most of them are out of town, I am just never at home. Traveling is great, don’t get me wrong, but with so much to do (particularly with my own wedding planning), leaving town can be a little inconvenient.

Now that summer is approaching, I’m sure I’m not the only one with trips on the horizon. Summer vacations, Memorial Day and Labor Day getaways, Fourth of July trips – they are great, but wouldn’t it be wonderful to take a trip without worrying about what’s going on at home?

On May 18, UPS is proud to be a part of the Girls’ Lunch Out (GLO) party. It’s a networking event for women, and an opportunity to break from the blogging and connect with other busy women, moms and business owners who want to find the same solutions.
